This year, the construction holiday officially starts Sunday, July 20, at 0:01 a.m. and ends Saturday, August 2, at midnight. About 80% of the industry’s workers and employers will be taking a well-deserved break.

Today, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) is unveiling its report Perspectives professionnelles dans l’industrie de la construction 2025-2029, which presents estimates of workforce needs per region for the next 5 years.

Digital transition of the monthly report as of September 2025

As part of the Chantier numériccq project, the CCQ plans to gradually modernize its online services, starting with the monthly report. We are planning to end transmission of the monthly report in paper format or by phone.
